Meaning “ Appointed by the people ” An anti-corruption authority  constituted at state level. In 1966 Administrative Reforms Commission headed by Morarji Desai submitted a report recommending setting up of ‘Lokpal' and 'Lokayukta’ Maharashtra was the first state to introduce the institution of Lokayukta Term : 5 years Kerala Lokayukta Act passed in 1999 The Lokayukta is appointed by the Governor   on advice of Chief Minister.
