After the withdrawal of Non cooperation movement there was difference of opinion among the Congress leaders regarding council entry

C.R. Das and Motilal Nehru resigned from congress and founded the Swaraj Party on 1st January 1923

C R das was its president and Motilal Nehru secretary

Swaraj party gradually disappears after the death of C R Das in 1925
