• Ratio of a to b  is a : b = a/b 
• The equality of two ratios is called proportion 
• If a:b = c:d that is a : b : : c : d , then a/b = c/d

4x=3y
Therefore 4x+5y : 5x-2y=
8Y : 15y/4 - 2y
8y : 7y/4

1.The ratio of the length of a ground to its width is 5 : 2. Find its length if the width is 50 meters (Sergeant 2018)

5/2=L/50

L=125m

2.ചതുരാകൃതിയിലുള്ള പുരയിടത്തിന്റെ നീളവും ചുറ്റളവും തമ്മിലുള്ള അംശബന്ധം 1 : 3 ആണ്. എങ്കിൽ ആ പുരയിടത്തിന്റെ നീളവും വീതിയും തമ്മിലുള്ള അംശബന്ധമെന്ത്?
